Tree Planting Details
Planting
Planting is a three phase process
- Site selection ( Sunlight, water, existing vegetation)
- Soil preparation ( Digging, amending soil with minerals and compost)
- Filling and Mulching ( Placing tree upright in soil and applying 6-10 inches of mulch on top of soil)
Tree selection
Tree selection is a two step process using University of Maryland resources and whole sale nurseries as suppliers.
Using the University of Maryland Fruit tree guide we select disease resistant trees, climate appropriate trees, and coordinate pollination between trees.
We do not specify which tree variety our customer may receive among the many varieties available. This is due to a limited supply for any one specific variety.
All trees will be dwarf or semi dwarf trees and will be planted bare root.
